It’s Friday again, so that means it’s time for . . .

I just LOVE what Kailani  is doing over at An Island Life with “Aloha Friday.”

In Hawaii, she says, “Aloha Friday is the day when we take it easy and look forward to the weekend.  So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.”

I can’t really say that Friday is any less frantic than any other day of the week here, but I like the idea.  Wouldn’t you love to be on “island time?”

I’m participating in Kailani’s  Aloha Friday and I thought I’d bring a bit of the islands to Everydaywoman.  I’ll be posting a simple question to stir up a little conversation before the weekend.  If you’d like to participate, please respond to the question in a comment, and feel free to post your own question on your blog and leave your link below.  Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

My “Aloha Friday” question this week is:

WHAT  ONE WORD  BEST DESCRIBES YOU???

For me, it’s got to be  HOPEFUL!!!

(I always try to see the positive side of things!  : ) )

I’m torn between domestic and country. Domestic not so much in the fact that I’m well-trained (lol, I’m not) but that I love to be at home and that’s all I’ve ever wanted to do. I’d prefer to be a homemaker any day over a career woman, and that pretty much shapes my life! 🙂 I say country because, well, I’m about as far from a city girl as I can be!

You’re definitely hopefully, that’s for sure. I can tell that without even “meeting” you! Have a good weekend!

    • Jena,

Both of those descriptors are great for you–and they are wonderful things to be!

Somehow, I think our lives may go in cycles. I was a “domestic,” stay-at-home Mom with our three kids when they were young and LOVED every minute of it! Time spent with them was priceless and we lived on one salary–and did without some things–to accomplish that. But I’m afraid I was not terribly “domestic” in the sense of the word that I’m probably the worst “housekeeper” that there is–and still am! Now that our children are pretty much grown, I’m in the “cycle” of career and am loving that, too!

My kids made me “country,” too, in fact, as well as our lifestyle.

      Thanks so much for sharing!

  2. Right now… Tired!

    But ususally… optimistic.
