Winter Wonderland: Sunday Stroll December 20, 2009 December 20, 2009

Although it took forever to arrive, the Blizzard of 2009 finally arrived last night and transformed our area into a Winter Wonderland . . .

Nature’s tree ornaments . . .

The Mermaid by the pool is a bit chilly . . .

With the temps predicted to stay as cold as they are, we’re guaranteed to have a White Christmas!

Hope you’re having fun wherever you are and perhaps you’re playing in the snow, too!

To see who else is strolling this Sunday, stroll on over to the Quiet Country House.

  1. Looks pretty! We’ve got big drifts and bare spots here, so it’s hard to tell how much snow we got total. Have fun being snowed in!

  2. It varies widely with the drifts, but definitely enough to make it look pretty and to play in!!!

Pretty! It looks much the same here! I hope to take my stroll (meaning I hope I remember the camera!) while Christmas shopping in the village later today.

Your snow covered landscape is delightfully picturesque! Merry Christmas to you and your family! Enjoy that cozy “snowed in together” feeling! 🙂

  4. Thanks, Aisling!

I always enjoy seeing pix of your “little village!”

I know what you mean about end-of-the-semester and school craziness; I’m only really NOW thinking about preparations for Christmas!

Looks great–we only got a few inches up here in the NW hills! I had to drive home from north of Boston yesterday–lots more snow up there. Really like the photos of the apples & snow–the contrast is great!

    • Ann~thanks so much for your comment! Yes, this was one of the few times when the shoreline got hit harder than upstate! I’m enjoying all the whiteness!

I was also struck by the contrast of those last few apples left on the tree against the white backdrop. Thank you for your kind comment!
